I think it’s very likely that this one is a cupertino. There are lots of hits for blood curtling as well. It’s hard to imagine how one could get to ‘curtailing’ from ‘curdling’ aurally.
I heard the blood curtailing scream’s of children outside on the school playground
It was the stupid little brat next to me. You can hear me and my friend yelling at her at one point. Her scream was seriously blood curtailing.
The Rebels started to group together and got ready to charge. They waited a moment and then they charged, and as they charged they gave a loud blood-curtailing yell. This loud yell caused all the green, or inexperienced, troops to flee back to Washington.

Emboldened by the arrival of reinforcements and by the first use of the blood-curtailing Rebel Yell, the Confederates charged forth in the late afternoon.
a small silver crow shot in front of them. Letting out a blood curtailing shriek, it landed on the shoulder of man who was roughly 100m from the trio.
The following are harder to account for. I count ‘blood garbling’ and ‘gurgling’ as blends (maybe intentional) within the context of the situation described, and blood ‘curtaining’ as pretty darn scary.
The lyrics often result in some interesting dichotomies between their soul-bearing earnestness on paper and the blood-garbling scream with which they’re delivered.
As I let out a blood gurgling scream, the wave engulfed me and flipped my body multiple times under the water and washed me up to shore. Fun as hell!!

We are in the bath room getting ready and all of the sudden I hear hysterical, blood curtaining screams from the front room

Not so hard if you imagine the the person pronouncing “curtail” with the accent on the first syllable (as . )
Hatching new language, one eggcorn at a time.
