Time to catch up on eggcorn activity around the web. I’ll put these notices in separate threads in case you have comments.
First is a note on a web journal about the “the best eggcorn I’ve overheard.” It is “sticks in my crotch” for “sticks in my craw.” Apparently confuses a bird metaphor with either hockey or a wedgie.
The web has a few examples of this substitution. Some may be deliberate perversions.Offline
