A few people on the web spell “tensor” (as in tensor bandage) as “tensore.” An example:

It’s tempting to think that these people are hearing “sore” in “tensor” (If your ankle is sorer than usual, reach for a ten-sore bandage.). We even have a web site that splits the word into “ten” and “sore”:
Question on Yahoo Answers: “i played basketball yesterday as well and i think im limping more, should i keep wearing my ten sore bandage or should i get a ankle brace”
The example comes from the unreliable Yahoo Answer site, however.
Since we also have a couple of instances of “tensore calculus” and “tensore algebra,” which probably do not have any semantic motivation, it’s difficult to make the case that “tensore bandage” is more than a misspelling. Tempting, but difficult.
