Unslung hero

Unslung looks to me like a blend of ‘unsung’ and ‘low-slung’, with more than a hint of the gunslinger. If the first hit is intentional, it’s pretty clever.

looking for a hero
Fred (Gumboots) Dagg…
He was the unslung hero who campaigned in the nude and fought for ‘Sheep Rights’ and Knee-High Gumboots for those in the back country who had a tendency to scragg their woollie ‘girlfriends’ without their consent. hmm

Hockey heroes
It amazes me that we have a different unslung hero in each of the seven wins.

Elvis lives
Elvis has staying power. He’s a legend. However I think the unslung hero in the success of Elvis is his ex-wife Priscilla

Fond club memories
Who was that; “Unslung Hero” that brought so many Bands to the old Bernard’s, and later to the Creepy Crawl (on Tucker.)?

Re: Unslung hero

I read unslung it as perhaps a hero free of all those slings (and arrows) and therefore able to oppose and end them?
