I would thoroughly recommend taking a foam mat or some type with you and a nice thick beach towel to alleaviate the pressure from the pebbles.
I don’t think the caffeine would really alleaviate the sedation….

The above quotations are the tip of an orthographical iceberg. The substitution of “alleaviate” for “alleviate” is rampant on the web, even occurring in published books. Most of these slips are probably simple phonetic misspellings. Some of them, however, may be semantically motivated, primed by a desire to find the AS “leave” in the Latinate “alleviate.” To alleviate, to make suffering less severe, is make the source of suffering leave.
