"hand-fisted" for "ham-fisted"

I can’t claim bragging rights for this. I ran into “hand-fisted” on the Web today, but when I did the Google search the very first hit I got was this very smart and thorough analysis by Mark Liberman on Language Log from Aug 14, 2004: http://itre.cis.upenn.edu/~myl/language … 01349.html . As far as I can tell it’s not in the actual Database—forgive me if I just missed it.

Thanks for that. I’ve entered it . There are still quite a few excellent Language Log eggcorns we haven’t got around to yet.
