"troll" << >> "toll"

I ran into this one on the Rotten Tomatoes site:

This misogynistic revenge fantasy tolls for cheap, vulgar laughs.
movie review

Obviously a substitution of “tolls” for “trolls” (the verbs). Then I looked for examples of the substitution going in the opposite direction, doing a web search on “trolling bells”, and found a few examples such as:

im listening to Chopin’s prelude trolling bells. along with some vivaldi symphonies.
classical music thread

Savoy Brown — Trolling Bells
song list

Wretched Auditus, now shalt thou never hear The pleasing changes that a well-tun’d chord Of trolling bells will make,
quote from an old play

Hearing soft, trolling bells, far off, obscured by flashing lights and staticky images from everywhere,
article about Hurricane Irene

I doubt it’s a bona fide eggcorn in either direction; there isn’t a meaning connection that I can see. But it may be more than a mere misspelling for some. It seems plausible that some folks may think the word “troll” is “toll” or vice versa.
