I heard this one pronounced, then checked the Internet, and (of course) found it there.
He looked evil but majestly, shimbering in deathly gold armer like a skulleton of great power & dignedy.
I applaud them for using an actress that isn’t a skulleton with skin.
A skulleton was staring at me across my room while I was sleeping.
The skull being such a prominent part of the skeleton is plenty of semantic rationale for this as an eggcorn.
