"orderves"

The French “hors d’oeuvres” is challenging for anglophones, so it’s commonly mispronounced “horse doovers” or the like. When heard, it’s often assumed to be spelled something like “orderves”, which also makes eggcornish sense, as “orderves” are those things you order to tide you over until they bring the main course.

You can place your orders after having a look at the separate menu card designed for orderves.
