'we small hours' for 'wee small hours'

Those who have heard the expression but are unfamiliar with the Scots wee may imagine that weariness has induced distortions, or even corrections, of our usual personal perspectives, leading perhaps to some degree of existential anxiety. On the other hand, could be no more than unthinking error, finger-slip, typo etc.

Yes the small hours are the time we “think” during the day we can put things to the back of our minds but in the we small hours they come and we think If I had done that maybe this would not have happened etc.

... in the ‘we small hours’ when my brain or eyesight is failing me. Hell it really doesn’t take many patch cables in one place to obscure the visibility to a module.

So while tossing and turning in the we small hours I came up with the idea of putting the carbie out of the buggered 46 fx (which fitted straight in), the venturi opening is the same size.

It was a staple for me back in the 80’s, but I had not been there in years. I ended many a quaalude-ridden night there in the we small hours.
