A past master: a pass master.

A Pass Master at involving her audience no matter what age. A wonderful family entertainer with that distinctive witty repartee and comic timing

Whether this is the first time you have taken on a challenge like this, or you are a pass master at vertical challenges, ...

Gordon Ramsay has become a pass master of the chef’s table, offering diners the chance to experience this phenomenon

It has to be said that many more are deliberate plays on words, in the context of football (soccer, if you must).

I went looking for “a pass muster of” but had no joy. But a few examples of something even more opaque are there:

Now a past muster in stooping too low, Mr. Bhattacharya’s uninterrupted assurance about tamed working class under the “Left” Front rule fell on the deaf ears

he sure can sing, plays a moderate guitar and is a past-muster actor so I can’t go hard with the hating

On the plain in Spain where it mainly rains.

Re: A past master: a pass master.

Maybe a stooper (stupor?) or an actor that passes mustard (or has past muster?)

most women and men who are considered beautiful by the general public would not past muster at even the smallest [reputable] modeling agency.

(As the old line goes, “I hate to be the one to point this out to you, but …” passing mustard makes me think diarrhea every time.)
