odor cologne

Back when I worked in advertising, one of my junior writers submitted copy praising a certain perfume and listing the various strengths available, from perfume to odor toilet (eau de toilette). The information she was working from was incomplete so she had called the buyer and taken the missing info over the phone.

It’s great to see so many new contributors, but so as not to get egg on your face you need to go to the Eggcorn Database page before posting and use the lower of the two search boxes, the one which says Google Search.

As others have already said, most of the juicy eggcorns have been found. It’s not the end of days yet so good luck, but hunters have to put up with disappointments.

On the plain in Spain where it mainly rains.

Re: odor cologne

That said, I did find this story pretty funny, putting odor toilet at the top of the scale of perfume strengths.
