"Razor back" for "Racer back"

I saw a sign at a store advertising “razor back” tank tops. The more I thought about it, the more it made sense. A racer back shirt appears to have a large portion of the back cut away. What cut the shirt? A razor.

I tried to be all Language-Log-like and give some google counts, but the Arizona Razerbacks make it difficult. So I searched only for racer/razer back bras, a product not promoted by the NCAA. Another issue is that racer back can be one word or two.

“racer back” bra = 154,000
racerback bra = 306,000

“razor back” bra = 1,180
“razorback” bra = 36,300
