On Twitter today some mad capitalizer banging on about Corbyn: “He is a socialist this is what they do,and young people fall For It hotline and Centre, all these people want is free stuff”. Brilliant!
Explain it a bit. I suppose you are offering it as eggcorned from “hook, line and sinker”. How does the (or, a) hotline or the centre fit in to the meaning? It is certainly a striking and complex malapropism, but not so clearly an eggcorn if it doesn’t make sense.
