Apart from an extra kuh they’re homophones, and the more familiar connect can make some kind of sense.

Lots of examples. I don’t know what that does to connectic, exactly. People might even be thinking of connection but spelling it kinectic . There are some cases of kinection that may be examples of that sort of thing, e.g.

But most of the examples of kinection that Google first serves up look advertent. It does seem reasonable that at least some of those spelling kinectic may be thinking of connection, though, and much more probable that those spelling connectic are.

The “kin” in kinectic may be (however unconsciously) the source of an assumption of connectivity, for kinship is connection, whether it’s literal familial kinship or, more broadly, being “akin” to something.
