Oh, a type oh

Typos, the universal donors. My understanding of the typo is as an abbreviation for a typographical error. It must be easy to hear it as a type-o or even a type oh, with exclamation if not imprecation. The first hit is where I saw this one. There may be a dozen of these in the wild.

First, the type o. It appears to be a mondegreen that is not clearly meaningful.

100-400mm mark2 lens .Type o on last post

Tentative offer, I was offered a GS 05 Step 10 starting ($40k). I was told in January that I was selected for the position, with an EOD of 2/11/13.
I’m being paid as a GS 05 Step 01; after talking to HR, they said that it was a “type o” (correct spelling: typo)... Unless that was supposed to mean a “Type Oh Crap!”.

Type ohs are more likely candidates for a change of meaning.

So here’s the question: Broken or not?
Reply: Yea probaly a type oh

Is the banner supposed to say Arland?
It’s Marland! The ship name, Maud + Arland = Marland.
I’m sorry, I thought it was a type-oh.

You might want to check that you have the correct incoming web server because sometimes the email application trues to guess the server names for incoming and outcoming by default and might have got them (or one) incorrect…or maybe you might have made a type oh

Do you have a question about teacher applications or interviews?
Did the eBook help you land the job of your dreams?
Do you disagree with something I’ve written?
Did you find a type-oh or misspelling?

Finally, although the word typo appears in a forum comment, a reply uses “type-oh”. Is she being cute or is she correcting the first commenter?

Yeah, I looked at all that before I replied. Still seems a typo to me. Zana has always counted toward the master limit.
ahh ok thanks …. i might introduce a correction in the discussion of the Wiki then it then seems a mistake ….not a type-oh … because Navali is mentioned separately

“early 1915 and earlier cars came with the bronze thrust washers” .....is this a typo? My Jan 16 car, bone stock and original, had bronze thrust washers.
Reply: No, it is not a type-oh. Although I should have said “early 1915 and earlier Model Ts” rather than just “cars”
