"evasive" species

A Guardian comment evoked the threat of evasive species. Not a Grade A eggcorn but I found it interesting. A malaprop that has some sense to it. Not only are they invasive, but they do manage to evade control.

The ravines should be made a federal park as has been done with the Rouge valley. Then there would be sufficient funds to control the evasive species.
Guardian comment

The Jordan River has magnificent recreation potential for boating enthusiasts if developed properly with strategically located put-ins and take-outs, appropriate trailhead facilities, river signage, flow gauges, hazard removal, evasive species control and general clean-up.

Re: "evasive" species

I think I’ve mentioned this before, but there is a chiropractor here in Cincinnati whose radio ads used to extol her non-evasive procedures.
