Karis wheel

A friend, whose daughter is named Karis, twice said, in a conversation about girls visiting a particular mall, something like “they wanted to ride the Karis wheel”. The spelling, of course, is my own; it might should have been “carrous wheel” or something like that. The particular mall has a carrousel but no Ferris wheel.
.
fwiw have any of you known someone who pronounced “carrousel” (or “carousel” if you spell it that way) identically to “carousal”? I have heard it.
.
I wondered if anybody thought of it as a “ferrous wheel”. I did not know the name had been preempted before I (at least) thought of it:
.
What is the ferrous wheel hypothesis?
Ferrous Wheel Hypothesis: Abiotic nitrate incorporation into
Ferrous Wheel Hypothesis state that Fe(II) is regenerated in the soil microsites from Fe(III) as electrons donors powered by dissolved organic matter (DOM). Fe(II) reduces the nitrate to nitrite which is subsequently incorporated into dissolved organic N (DON) (Davidson et al. , 2003). Jan 15, 2019

*If the human mind were simple enough for us to understand,
we would be too simple-minded to understand it* .

(Possible Corollary: it is, and we are .)
