a truly inspiring wordsmith

I couldn’t let this one slip by, so I joined this forum just to give this particular eggcorn some publicity. I’m an English as a Foreign Language teacher by profession and, of course, regularly come across some mangled phrases (... I would say “delightfully” mangled, but someone is bound to challenge me on this ambiguity!) This particular one, however, showed up on the current web page (July, 2006) of Vocabula Review (http://www.vocabula.com/) at the very bottom of the page. Presumably, it’s from a student of the language (aren’t we all?) but nevertheless, I hope you all enjoy it!

• I would like to know how to access the Vocabula Review’s Definition a Day Archive. I could not find them on your website. I used to print it out and study it for free. Is it gone?
I am an inspiring wordsmith.
