I couldn’t let this one go. One of those situations where a colleague says it confidently – and I weep inwardly. It makes sense in its own way.

As of today, 247 hits for “venomently.” And most of them look authentic, but it’s hard to be sure that this isn’t a portmanteau word being passed rather consciously from hand to hand. I didn’t google “venoment,” but I’m sure there’re hits.
The combination of “venom” and “vehement” is precious. And heck, “vehement” can be tricky to spell for some people, so this is a practical solution. One of my personal faves of the last few months—nice find!
