"Intergrate" and "into grate" for integrate

I have caught myself countless times typing intergration instead of integration. I can see the root word in integration without even looking it up — integral, wholeness, as in integer and integrity. No “intering” there. Nevertheless, the melding action of integration drives me to eggcorn it. “Intergrate” appears in Paul Brians’ list of common errors in English , one of the many that jorkel has flagged for eventual candling for eggcornhood.

There are 214,000 ughits for intergrate, and 635,000 more for intergration without looking at all the possible conjugations. Vast numbers of them refer to problems of combining different computer programs. No examples necessary. I think its status is unquestionable.

Simple intergration is insufficient for some, however, who go the Full Monty to into gration. The into part may not be not the whole story, however; is there not at least a soupçon of being grated together or maybe, passed through the grate. Though lovely, they are quite rare.

Chinese Global trading catalogue It make eastern and western culture to into grate.

Marketing research notes Choosing the sample procedure (how to ensure those who are to be into grated are included in the sample)

Online library of communist literature Economic forecasting makes it possible to extend the horizons of economic foresight, makes for continuity and identifies the order of priorities in the build-up of the individual stages of into gration.

Note also “intergrade”: eggcorns.lascribe.net/english/1040/intergrade/ —“grading” into each other.
.
“Candling” for eggcornhood: I love it!

we would be too simple-minded to understand it* .

Candling. Another farm word that has lost its way in our urbanized universe. Some day they’ll just put all of us who understand these words out to pasture. That is, they would if they understood what “put out to pasture” means.
