We’ve had +“aftermass”+ and “aftermatch”, but apparently not this one:
Scooter crash in Pittsfield, MA?? – ADVrider – [ Traducir esta página ] 2 publicaciones – 1 autor – Última entrada: 4 Mar. 2008 Dunno what happened, just saw the aftermess. I was traveling north in an SUV at about 10:30 AM Sunday 3/02. Temps was about 20 F.
The cleaning up of the aftermess of parties. Suckiest of all jobs to do.
Or you could call it peace, just like the afterglow of smoking, the aftermess of drunkardness.
Lots more hits out there. Many are, somewhat unsurprisingly, clearly advertent. There seem to be enough where any advertence is inovert that one can assume they were real errors, and likely enough standard for the perpetrators. The semantic restructuring seems clear: the aftermath of anything is usually rather disorganized, a bit of a mess in fact.

we would be too simple-minded to understand it* .
