One more from the misheard/misanalyzed foreign language borrowings quarter. The dancers who dance in synchronized support of the soloists are called the corps de ballet. Or the quarter ballet in the following hits. They’re not full lead dancers – they’re just quarter ballet dancers.
Even flowers and snowflakes are expected to be on point. According to Pink, this type of quarter ballet work, which is performed mostly by Milwaukee Ballet II students, is often simple and not necessarily challenging.
