A Tied Wad

Ever since I’ve been a tied wad and money really lost its luster.

I’m such a tied wad when it comes to medi-gel

Old tied wad!!!

It works well, if you ask me.

On the plain in Spain where it mainly rains.

Re: A Tied Wad

Yes, very nice!

It does seem like tied and tight ought to be etymologically related back of all that, but it was all a long time ago … the etymology sites don’t link them, but they both peter out at the “Germanic” stage, and the ancestral meanings of “tie(d)” and “dense, compact” aren’t all that close.

we would be too simple-minded to understand it* .

(Possible Corollary: it is, and we are .)
