I saw a comment where someone referred to “world wind” travel and I believe instead of “whirl wind” travel

This has been submitted a number of times. One way to see some of the earlier submissions is to click on the “Search” button at the top of this page and type “whirlwind” into the window.

Welcome to the Forum, noellemac. The substitution has been noted a number of times here, as long ago as 2006, then again in 2007 when it received a more extensive discussion, and as recently as last week.
The best way to search for past discussions is by using the lower search box with the button marked “Google search” on the Eggcorn Database page. Good hunting!
