"Climbatis" for Clematis

Another eggplant to add to Kem’s growing garden. Clematis is a plant that loves to climb. The name was given by the Greeks to various vines, such as periwinkle, traveler’s joy and bearbind. The stock in this case is Gk klema, a shoot, vine-branch or twig. Climbatis follows.

Are there plants I can grow on a trellis without a pot?
Climbatis and trumpet vine are nice.

Re: "Climbatis" for Clematis

Nothing anticlimbatic about “climbatis.” Not too common, but a good eggcorn.

Eggplants. A good name for an extensive subgenre of eggcorns. Since even the word “eggcorn” fits the plant category, perhaps the non-botanical eggcorns should be considered a subgenre of the botanical set.
