Now that I’ve found a place online for people who appreciate language humor, as I do, I feel compelled to share that my grandmother once thought that Eric Clapton was singing “Living on Toast and Tang” instead of “Living on Tulsa Time.”

Thanks for the post. This will definitely make it onto my permament mental list of favorite “mondegreens” (misheard lyrics). I’m also impressed that your grandmother listens to Eric Clapton.
Our forum has one page (“Contribute”) for potential eggcorns, and another page (“Slips”) for everything else that isn’t an eggcorn—strange malaprops, mondegreens, etc. Would you mind if I moved this to that latter page?
