‘Inextricably’ is a bit of a mouthful and an easier word might be preferred. The eggcornish substitution gets 8,000 + ghits. Although one might have occasion to deliberately say ‘inexplicably intertwined,’ many or most of those 8,000 look like unintentional substitutions:

Very cute find, but it sounds like a malapropism. Do these people really mean “inexplicably”? Or are they just replacing an unfamiliar word with a familiar one without any additional thought?
