'Bubblespace telescope' for 'Hubble Space Telescope'

spotted here:

maybe this is too technical a term, but this is so cute, I almost hope it catches on.

Re: 'Bubblespace telescope' for 'Hubble Space Telescope'

I’m afraid that there is a better than even chance that this is a purposeful error designed to draw a response. Contributors of questions to Yahoo Answers get some sort of credit for questions which solicit answers. A common strategy to up the interest in a question is to pose it with a cute, apparently naïve error in it. Such posts are the “bait noir” of eggcorn hunters. The one you’ve linked to has the earmarks of such a ploy.

It is a cute one, but wouldn’t it be more of a mondegreen than an eggcorn?
