Hi NM Shannon—welcome to the forum. I’ve altered your post in the way I think you were shooting for—I hope I got it right. Now you’ve got two posts with the same material. Would you like me to delete (I think you can do it, too) the one labeled “eggcorns”?

the eggcorns I would like to see posted are : old tomato for ultimatum and pacifically for specifically. Maybe some day I too will know how to delete on this forum. thanks. Obviously, I am new to this. I found the site, signed up and then messed up.

Okay, I see what you want now. I can’t post them for you because they’ll come out under my name—I don’t know of a way of preventing that. But go to the “Forum” page and click on “Contribute,” and once there click on “Post new topic” on the right. Then you’ll get the “Post new topic” page. You got that far in the past, but then had some trouble with cutting and pasting, I think. In the “Subject” blank, put the title you want your post to be indexed under (Like “old tomato for ultimatum,” or whatever you choose). And then put your actual text and examples under the “Message” blank. And then hit submit when that’s all done to your satisfaction. If that all comes out okay, I can delete the other attempts.
