'decrapped" for decrepit

Decrepit means broken down, debilitated with age, worn out, dottering. Decrapped is a lively alternative image for “reduced to crap”. Crap is a catchall for just about anything worthless in N.A., though apparently it can still be considered a 4-letter word in Britain (see comment here).

Re: 'decrapped" for decrepit

Crap might be considered impolite or slang but hardly qualifies as a swear word in any social situation I can imagine – I don’t want anyone running away with the idea that its use could cause any serious offence over here. As one who has often heard a privy referred to as a ‘crapper’ or craphouse (much more refined than the far more common ‘shithouse’) I’m alarmed to find ‘crap’ has nothing to do with the great Thomas Crapper. What other nuggets of non-knowledge am I carrying about?
I’m wondering, David, whether you imagine ‘decrapped’ to have just two syllables and rhyme with, say, rewrapped? I imagine it having three, as in:

I am saying he is molding ancient and decrapid and needs to be put out to pasture. Answer: It is painful to see that old Fossil shaking and stumbling and …

...the crap’s still there but also the possibility of rapid decline.
