The Bing Bang Theory

Thousands of people seem to think it’s called this. Or are there two theories?

Re: The Bing Bang Theory

This one had me laughing out loud from the imagery it conjured up for me; There’s an urban slang usage “bada bing bada boom” which conveys the elapse of unspecified events toward an outcome. If you elide the “bada” portions and equate “boom” with “bang” then you’ve got “bing bang.” Even if you don’t take this circuitous route in getting to “bing bang” it still conveys that feel of a quick, mysterious event. This is a good find.

Re: The Bing Bang Theory

Isn’t that a line from “Splish-splash I was taking a bath … bing-bang, the doorbell rang” ?
.
Nope, got it a bit wrong:
.
Bing bang, I saw the whole gang
Dancing on my living room rug, yeah
Flip flop, they was doing the bop
All the teens had the dancing bug

Re: The Bing Bang Theory

We also discussed this in November: http://eggcorns.lascribe.net/forum/view … hp?id=4164

The jokes were just as bad then.
