A vote of confidence is an expression of support; I don’t know whether it is related to the notion of a “confidence vote” for the government in a parliamentary system. A boat of confidence looks to be a quite substantially larger expression of support. The first two instances have lost their interpersonal character and are therefore less eggcornish; the last two are clearer eggcorns.
