Some writers incorrectly use “Perilized” in place of the verb “perilled”, or “exposed to danger.” “Perilized” certainly conjures up the notion of peril (a noun), and this verb creation is clearly inspired by a subconscious association with “paralyzed.”
On the internet, the majority of citings of “perilized” are simply homophonous misspellings of “paralyzed” since they are used in the context of the latter. By contrast, the examples below use “perilized” in the sense of “perilled.”
I’m certain every poster below is aware of the term “paralyzed,” but I also believe that their subconscious recollection of that word allowed them to write “perilized” without reservation. Isn’t this enough to qualify as an eggcorn?

Now, I’m also leaning toward the usage of “perilized” in the same context as “paralyzed” as a genuine eggcorn. I think rather than just being a homonym, the usage derives from the image of peril.
