Another flower blooms in Eggcornistan. There’s no rose in primrose, nor is it prim. For that matter, it’s not even pink. As pointed out by Skeat, the primrose is a “corruption” or pop etymology of primerole, which developed from primula, or primula veris, first flower of spring.
That makes it a double bagger:
