If you take a look at some other posts, you’ll see how this site works. Usually we give the context where we heard it or cite some web sites where we think the eggcorn is happening, and give some small explanation why we think it might be an eggcorn.

Welcome to the Eggcorn forum Kimberly. The etymological basis of an eggcorn may be hard for some posters to handle—and more experienced posters will likely fill it in—but the source of your eggcorn is always helpful. A recent conversation? A web post? or simply an old recollection? What was the context? Did the utterer give any additional explanation which explained the words?
I’m sure we’ll get a good analysis of whether “abiding” makes sense. That’s more or less the crux of what we’re looking for… whether the reshaping has significant meaning to stand on its own.
