'touchy-filly' for 'touchy-feely'

I’d have thought touchy-feely was transparent enough to escape alternative interpretations but apparently not:

Why is it when these touchy filly people try to touch and fill the REAL world, all they seem to touch is there imagination?

i think i define touchy filly courses is where you learn to .125> get in touch with your self, deep down inside

But in most examples it isn’t clear whether reference is being made to an equivalent of patting a horse, or someone who is satisfied (filled) by non-genital tactile contact, or the ‘filling’ refers to sexual penetration.

She’s touchy-filly with people but in a very intimate way. She likes to keep her options open, imo. roses are red is offline …

I am a very touchy filly person love to kiss and hold hands.

.I’m very Touchy Filly Kissee. I’m Extremely oral as well.

A difficult one to present, Peter. The examples you show are indistinguishable from what you would see from people who can’t distinguish between the sound of fill and feel, and who pronounce them the same. There are a lot of those. But there are a few hits out there, from the steamy underbelly of the net, where the “filly” appears to have sexual connotations and yet the hormone-crazed perp doesn’t recognize that they’ve sprung an eggcorn. Rare, but I think I see what you were trying to get at.

Ah, but I’m not so sure that I see what I was trying to get at. Normally I sit on it for a while, let it incubate a bit, but here as elsewhere I’ve become a little over-enthusiastic at a fresh discovery, scribbling before the notion has had time to sink in and I agree there’s little evidence of eggcornish thinking. And there are many examples of spelling ‘feel’ as ‘fill.’ Here’s just one:

If you had a con cushion you would fill dizzy, sick to your stomach.

Your first example is one of these, Peter:

Why is it when these touchy filly people try to touch and fill the REAL world, all they seem to touch is there imagination?

Surely the author meant “touch and feel the REAL world”?
