'mere morsels' for 'mere mortals'

This eggcornish variant improves a little on its acorn, representing us as, perhaps, a few tantalising crumbs carelessly crushed between the frantic molars of time:

. Women may be mind readers but us mere morsels are not.

Please tell us mere morsels what it is like to be perfect?

I think it takes us mere morsels years to develop such good dress sense! .

we salute you for your time and effort in making this site so easy for us mere morsels who are just setting off on the path to some great music …

Another classic. If we are merely morsels, at least let us be juicy.

Re: 'mere morsels' for 'mere mortals'

My dad’s favorite quote from Shakespeare: “What foods these morsels be.” (Advertent, of course. But some using it advertently does not mean others cannot use it to make Corned —or is it Cornish— Eggs.)

*If the human mind were simple enough for us to understand,
we would be too simple-minded to understand it* .

(Possible Corollary: it is, and we are .)
