'providence' for 'provenance'

I’ve just stumbled across this on eBay, and although at first glance it seems no more than a malapropism, I’m beginning to think there may be more to it. Providential can indicate foresight and precaution, and providence seems to encompass both prove and evidence – what more could you want by way of provenance?

This is a REAL authentic lock of Elvis’s Hair. The item comes with full providence and our certificate of authenticy.

The shirt comes with full providence and original invoices and is valued over a thousand pounds.

Price well how long is a piece of string, last one I seen sold was a little over $61000,with full Providence

A nice RARE 3D sea urchin with full providence from my private collection.
