Right-away

I searched the database for this one, but it didn’t seem to be in there.

“I know as a motorcyclist never assume the right-away but you can’t sit there for ever and she DID look right at me.”

Re: Right-away

Benvenuto, Eggcorno Inglese. This has shown up in the Database, but with somewhat different punctuation than you’re using: http://eggcorns.lascribe.net/english/523/right-away/

The Database entry is very minimal, and I don’t know that anyone has ever analyzed the reshaping’s eggcornicity. Users may be thinking that the person with the right-of-way is the one who gets to go “right away,” while everyone else has to wait. Works for me.
