Not completely sure about this one, but if it’s an eggcorn, it’s interesting! I noticed an article that talked about bees ‘imbiding on’ the juice from maraschino cherries. Seems like it could be a mishearing, combined with an understanding of ‘abide’. Quite a few Google hits for ‘imbiding on’, fewer for ‘imbide on’. A search for ‘imbibe on’ spelled correctly but with the preposition didn’t turn up much of value, although there could be a way to filter for better results. ‘Imbibing on’ seemed more common, though. If ‘imbide’ occurs mostly with ‘on’, and ‘imbibe’ mostly without, that seems like an eggcornish reinterpretation to me. On the other hand, ‘imbibing on’ could just be from analogy to ‘sipping on’, etc. Other views?

I puzzled over this one. My feeling is that it is mostly a result of typos, “d” for “b.” On the other hand, “abiding” could be exercising a semantic influence on the switch.
