MEAT-EATERites (meteorites)

Today my 4-year old son was playing an electronic game in which the player was attacked by space vehicles and meteor(ites) ... except that he referred to the latter as “Meat-eater-ites.” I thought the reshaping was adept for two reasons: First, he has been reading a lot of books about dinosaurs and such lately, and he knows that some are meat eaters, so the term is at the fore of his thinking. Second, when one is eliminated in a video game, it’s equivalent to being eaten up by whatever entity was approaching. So, within the realm of his experience a “meat-eater-ite” was a more tangible item than a “meteorite” and it made complete sense within the context that he was using it.
