Inspired by “cold shoulder” I went looking for “clam shoulder” (chowder).
This suggests that I’m not alone:
We are unable to find an exact match for: clam shoulder
My favorite dish (clam shoulder) was on the menu that day, so we stayed in the hotel.
I even finished with a strawberry cheesecake !
along with French, Dutch, German, Portuguese and Italian mentions of ‘clam shoulder’, which don’t really count.
On the plain in Spain where it mainly rains.
Clams got shoulders?!? At the same epicurious site, the same person, perhaps, looked in vain for “clam shower”.
Or was it this blogger:
My favorite Clam Shower is Manhattan’s Clam Shower. it is lighter not a heave creamy soup.
for those that haven’t have the pleasure of eating Manhattan’s Clams showers.
I don’t know if this is the original recipe but this is my version of Manhattan Clam shower
