"triple-down economics" for "trickle-down economics"

I thought I overheard someone say this one today, so I looked and it does seem like a mistake people make. Could be because of the similarity to the phrase “double down,” though I could find no examples that combined the two idioms.

Examples: Google Books result:
“triple-down economics not only survived but flourished during Clinton era.”
Message board:
”...his “Tripled down Economics” only made the rich richer, the poor poorer and more numerous.”
News site comment:
“With your triple down economics, your deregulation and you oil and weapon contractor buddies. ”
