Heart rendering for Heart rending. I like this because heart rendering brings to mind a melting heart, a familiar picture, further leading the user to believe they’re correct. An eggcorn that makes sense is likely to have a long shelf life. There are more than 13 million results for heart rendering on Google.

When I run the Google counts WITHOUT the quotation marks, I get about 1,400,000 for the former and 8,850,000 for the latter …a reversal. But, I think these searches pick up a lot of stray, unrelated citings.
I generally try to run my Google searches with quotation marks around proximal words.
