I know I’m bumping an old thread here, but I’ve been seeing “segue way” used instead of just “segue” recently, under the impression that “segue” is pronounced to rhyme with “leg”, and therefore “segue” must be “segue way”.
I guess that if you think about it, if you think of something being, for instance, “a nice segue between the two movements of the piece” you might think of a “segue way between…” as “a way to segue between…”.
