“Australian workers really hate suckophants
Sucking up to the boss outranks office gossip and frequently being late for work as one of the most hated behaviours at work.” – The Age (Australia), 2005-11-18
Apparently not in allusion to the Suckophant, a monster that sucks everything up in the Beatles film Yellow Submarine. The combination of sucking (up) and an elephant’s trunk makes for a nice image.
We’ve had and , before, but not “suckophant.” “Suckophant” is the best of the bunch, in my opinion—sucking up is what sycophants do. Not many web examples, unfortunately.
