What else is knew

“What else is knew?” for “what else is new?”. The original new is an ironic/sarcastic comment that the preceding assertion conveyed information that is not at all new. The eggcorn, assuming “knew” is not just a spelling slip, seems to interpret “knew” as a variant of “known”, ie “already known”. Thus “what else is knew?” implies “that which you have just said is already known”.

I have to say that I’m not impressed at all by the statement. For me, what else is knew? This could just be issued before the testing.

But, hey, what else is knew? This is the way Steinbrenner has been for 27 years and the Yankees have still won five titles in his reign.

Re: What else is knew

That one I will adopt. Undoubtedly some hits are WTF, but there is pretty solid evidence that others are innocent, in the form of “bad knows”.

Special prayer request for mrs. Jackson. She just received some bad knows from her doctor
