"Vendebtor" and "vengetta" for vendetta

Though vendetta was borrowed from Ital. and revenge from O.Fr., they both ultimately derive from the polysemous L. vindicare “to lay claim to, avenge, punish, assert, set free”. Revenge as vindictive payback shows up, in what must be non-rhotic form, as vendebtor:

About a minute after this, still in a slight daze, I recieved another blow from behind, this one I took to the arm. The salty smell of fish was then my first clue as the second flying fish danced around on the deck looking for the ocean it had left behind. Now I don’t think it was a personal vendebtor these two kamokazi youngesters had for me

I hope no one has some kind of vendebtor on this family because of there great reputation!

While some of us are willing to forgive and forget, Freddie still seems to have a vengetta against a lot of us over here
Flame war

I did not make a personal attack of any kind, Tyrenius is apparently engaging in a vengetta to harm me.
Wiki war

one mexican guy (hollywood seems to have a vengetta against foreigners) is all alone in a temple with moving walls armed only with a pistol and a flare.

Perhaps a vendenta is an example of backbiting – or biting back.

Petition to save allegedly sheep-killing dogs: “History behind it, County Atty has a vendenta against the owner.”

“Vengetta” is good. Codes the “gettin’ revenge” notion of vendetta.

Hatching new language, one eggcorn at a time.
