Bath bombs and lip bombs
Dropping a fragrant depth charge into your bath in the form of a bath bomb is a common practice if the web is any indication. And lip bombs are applied to tender mouth parts willingly as well. It’s hard to tell how many of these are intentional variations of balm. Since bath bombs have their own Wikipedia page, maybe that is the original and bath balm is the eggcorn? I’m including a picture of a bath bomb to preclude comments from you lot about other things that might be dropped in a bath.
